Yard Hound is a family of products which leverages RTLS (Real Time Location Systems) technology to provide real-time visibility for tracking and managing mobile assets in yards. It has been designed with the goals of ease of use, installation and administration, low total cost of ownership, and high reliability and accuracy. It can be deployed in a yard within weeks, requiring minimal capital investment in infrastructure. Built on modular hardware components and PINC’s advanced real-time visualization and visibility software algorithms, Yard Hound’s scalable architecture allows the users to select and install the system to address the mission-critical needs first, and expand its functionalities in the future in line with business needs. Yard Hound is available as a hosted system with SaaS (Software-as-a-Service) supported by PINC, delivered on demand with high reliability, which eliminates the high costs of data backup and other associated requirements on IT resources. Alternatively, the system can be installed entirely on-premise to be maintained by the enterprise IT organization, with a software licensing and support agreement with PINC for future software upgrades.
Enabled by current and accurate information about the location and status of trailers, yard trucks, and other assets, Yard Hound’s real-time visualization software presents the live information through a graphical user interface accessible via secure internet connection. Automated custom reports and notifications are also available through the web portal or delivered via emails or SMS to the users. If desired, Yard Hound can be integrated with YMS, WMS, ERP, or other proprietary or commercial enterprise applications.
